About Us
Dr. Nathanael Ridge (Big Nate) received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Brigham Young University. He completed his internship and post-doctoral residency in Clinical Child Psychology at Texas Children’s Hospital. After finishing his psychology training, he went on to receive his physician assistant degree from Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Ridge’s unique combination of degrees allows him to provide both psychological and medical services at the Child's Alliance.

Dr. Ridge has been practicing since 2011 in the state of Utah by working with pediatricians to develop evidence-based psychological and medication management to children and adolescents suffering from psychiatric conditions. He specializes in assessing for and treating children, ages 2 – 18, suffering from anxiety and mood disorders, ADHD, and other emotional and behavioral disorders. Dr. Ridge utilizes medication, cognitive behavior strategies, and parent training to help children and adolescents with these difficulties.

Dr. Ridge is married and has 4 children – three sons and one daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing basketball, swimming, and enjoying Utah’s outdoors.

ADHD
The Childs Alliance provides evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents struggling with ADHD.
Dr. Ridge has provided behavior therapy for ADHD children for over 20 years and uses a wide range of medications necessary to improve inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. He works with each individual to develop a personalized treatment plan to help manage symptoms and improve overall well-being.
Screen Addiction
Fortunately or unfortunately, screens are among us. At the Child's Alliance, we understand the necessity of screens but also the healthy restraint required to avoid the negative impact on your child's developing brain.

Mood Dysregulation
Have you ever wondered if your child's anger reactions are developmentally appropriate?

At the Childs Alliance, we have helped treat significant mood dysregulation that includes verbal and physical aggression at home and at school. Our comprehensive approach to assessment and treatment planning helps the parent and child understand anger and its treatments.

Dr. Ridge understands thoroughly how psychological evaluations, speech/language, occupational, physical, behavioral, school interventions (i.e., 504/IEP), community resources (e.g., DSPD, vocational rehabb) and medication management intersect to help your child succeed at home, school, and beyond.
Insomnia
The Childs Alliance offers evidence-based therapy for adolescents struggling with insomnia.
Dr. Ridge provides both evidence-based sleep hygiene interventions and medication if necessary to help your child attain a full nights rest.
